Good afternoon, we just wanted to remind everyone that the frozen chicken tenders from the fundraiser will need to be picked up tomorrow between 2-5pm in front of the MS gym. Please be prepared to let us know of the name of the student that you purchased from. We appreciate the help of everyone that helped make this fundraiser a success!

Following today's National Weather Service briefing, Dr. Barnette has decided to have a remote learning day on Friday, March 3, 2023. Cullman County will be under a rare high wind warning beginning tomorrow. We are expecting sustained winds 30-40 MPH with gusts 50-60 MPH, well above safe operating conditions for school buses. The NWS says to expect - and be prepared - for downed trees and power outages. Students will be provided assignments to complete tomorrow.

Severe Weather March 3
Due to the risk of severe weather, Cullman County Schools will be remote again tomorrow. (Thursday 2/16/23). There is a strong possibility for tornadoes and I believe that parents should be able to make the decision to carry their children to a storm shelter as needed. If storms are not in our area students should use this time to catch up on any school work or spend time practicing their reading. Thank you and please stay safe. - Shane Barnette

With Cullman County Schools on a remote learning schedule over the next two days, students will be able to access their current assignments for this week through their chromebook via Google Classroom. Students that needed paper copies were given those today at school. If we can help in any way, let us know. We hope and pray that everyone can stay well and we hope to see our students back with us for face-to-face instruction on Monday!

Cullman County Schools will transition to remote learning Thursday 1/20 and Friday 1/21. At this time, we plan to return to in-classroom instruction on Monday, 1/24. Statement from Dr. Barnette, Cullman County School Superintendent "I had hoped the numbers would get better this week, but unfortunately, we have a lot of students and staff out today. We've been strategic, shifting staff from other schools and the Central Office to cover absences with a goal of sustaining in-person learning, but we have reached a point that we need to transition to remote learning. With that in mind, along with the potential for winter weather Thursday and Friday, all Cullman County Schools will be operating remotely the rest of the week. Your child will be sent home with work for the next two days. Weather permitting, faculty and staff who are healthy will be on campus and able to assist your child digitally. Please know that I firmly believe that there is no equivalent substitute for in-person learning. I want our children in the classroom. I hope we will see improvement by next week."

Cullman County Schools will operate remotely on Friday 1/14/22. The decision to hold classes remotely is due primarily to the number of teachers and staff who are sick. After-school events will be allowed to continue because this dismissal is due to not having enough teachers and staff to operate during the school day. Teachers and staff who are not sick will still report to work tomorrow.
