Mission and Vision

Welcome to West Point Middle!

I am honored to serve as the principal and be one of the leaders of our great school. West Point is a wonderful community and full of caring people that work hard and truly care about the well-being of our students. The faculty of WPM is one of the best groups of educators that I have ever been a part of because of their willingness to go above and beyond to help our students be successful. I hope that each one of you discover that West Point is a special place. I challenge you to work together with us in making a positive mark on our school community. If I can be of assistance, please call the school at 256-734-5904 or email me at bthompson@ccboe.org.

The 2020-2021 school year marks my 17th year in education. I have been blessed to spend 12 years as a math teacher at West Point Middle, 2 years as an assistant principal at Vinemont Middle/Elementary School, 2 years as assistant principal at West Point Middle, and now this is my first year as the principal. Go Warriors!!

- Mr. Blake Thompson, Principal of West Point Middle
